Boston:A Unique City that Settles People into Its Historical American Culture and History All in One

When coming to New York, everyone knows you should at least visit Boston at least once if it is your first time staying. Boston is rich in opportunities for visitors to come sightseeing and relive American history. A must sightseeing visit of Boston’s popular historic landmark is the Freedom Trail. And if you’re not up for history, lucky visitors might even get to catch a major baseball game in Fenway Park! With so many things to do in Boston, here are some places you should visit in the city.

1. The Freedom Trail

The Freedom Trail is Boston’s pride in historic landmarks. It is known to be the best place to introduce new visitors to Boston and its history. Visitors coming for a historical sightseeing trip can cover the two and a half mile stretch within 90 minutes or more at their own pace to take in all of the Freedom Trail Revolutionary Landmarks. Their also a foundation called the Freedom Trail Foundation that provides a daily schedule of available public sightseeing tours of the trail.

2. Boston Public Garden and the Swan Boats

Whether you’d like to skate on an icy pond or take a romantic sightseeing boat ride, Boston has a botanical garden that is known to be the state’s oldest public garden. It has been In existence for the past few decades and still gets large numbers of tourists and locals daily. If you would wish to enjoy a great skating experience make sure you reserve your trip to Boston during winter. The Boston Public Garden is popular for its beautiful Swan Boats that returns to the lake each spring ever since the boats debuted in 1877 created by Robert Paget.

3. Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Locals recognise this indoor and outdoor market as the Quincy Market, even though its official and original name is the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, nevertheless, it is still a wonderful place for both locals and tourists to go shopping, sightseeing, try out new activities and have a bite of Boston’s local dining wonders. The Faneuil Hall Marketplace gathers people with numerous events as well such as their Annual Chili Cup event where this year will be the 9th year for the event to be held at the marketplace.

4. Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum

Those interested to take part in reenacting one of Boston’s popular history events can participate in the Boston Tea Party at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. There is a sightseeing tour available each day that begins at 10 am. Other than sightseeing and gift shopping, you could take yourself back into the popular incident in 1773 where 342 chests containing tea owned by the British East India company were disposed from the ships into the waters of Boston Harbor.

5. Fenway Park

When you’re in Boston on a sunny afternoon during the Summer, a sightseeing stroll down Fenway Park, a home made for the Red Sox, the Major League Baseball team in Boston. Fenway Park has rich history that housed the greatest baseball players since the start of 1912. It is also a place for energized baseball fans to support their team each year.

6. Museum of Science

Like its historical museums, Boston is also amazing at displaying science exhibits at the Museum of Science located at Science Park. The Museum of Science contains over 400 exhibits that are full of interactive engagement. Popular favourites in the Museum are the planetarium, Virtual Fish Tank, and the IMAX theater. The museum opens from 9AM to 5PM daily and it’s a top spot for families to bring their kids along for an educational and wonderful sightseeing experience in Boston!

7. Samuel Adams Brewery

For a taste of Boston’s best beer brewery, head down to the Jamaica Plain neighbourhood in Boston for Samuel Adams Brewery for a sightseeing visiting tour of the brewery’s history, beer tastings and find a gift for your beer enthusiast friends. Visitors will be able to have a glimpse of how beer is made and then be rewarded with a taste of fresh brewed beer. Other than being a Brewery, it is also connected to the Boston Beer Museum.

8. New England Aquarium

Another family friendly place to bring your kids is Boston’s New England Aquarium. You’ll be greeted with a vast and immersive ocean world. The aquarium is a home to smiling sea lions and playful penguins. There are also tanks filled with exotic lionfish and jellyfishes. Popular exhibits for sightseeing such as the Edge of the Sea tide pool where you’ll be able to touch and interact with some of the sea stars and horseshoe crabs. Visiting Boston’s New England Aquarium is a must when you’re travelling with your kids!

9. Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

For a more artful experience, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is proud to stand as the fifth largest museum in the country where it holds over 450,000 pieces of art that makes the Museum as a place that has the largest comprehensive and detailed art collection as well. A free guided tour is available for those who’d like to run a sightseeing stroll while getting to know pieces of the art in the museum.

10. Boston Harbor Islands National & State Park

Outdoor lovers coming to Boston can head over to the Boston Harbor Islands National & State Park. The Boston Harbor Island is filled with opportunities to do some sightseeing, hike and explore the old ruins. Camping is also magical at the Boston Harbor Island under the stars. The Boston Harbor Island has 34 smaller islands that have been scattered around New England’s harbor. Taking a break for the bustling city of Boston for a sightseeing trip here can complete your wonderful journey in the city.
